A Five-Year National R&D Programme

Between 2018 and 2023, Growth Development led one of Aotearoa’s most comprehensive applied research and development programmes focused on transformational leadership, organisational behaviour, and systemic change.

This work involved partnering with over 40 organisations, leaders, teams, and communities across New Zealand to understand a single question:

Why do so many leadership and change efforts fail  and what do leaders actually need to succeed?

Over five years of testing, refinement, field trials, longitudinal tracking, and real-world application, this programme resulted in the creation of a world-first transformation framework. The framework includes two interconnected arms:

Transformational Leadership
The Unity Conditions™ that create the environment for teams and people to become change-ready and transformation-ready.

Transformational Management
The SIMPLE. Transformation Method™, six essential laws that guide leaders to successfully manage transformation priorities.

Together, these arms form a complete, practical approach to real-world transformation, grounded in evidence, deeply human, and designed to support leaders navigating complex systems.

From R&D to National Delivery

Following the conclusion of the R&D phase in 2023, Growth Development formally partnered with the Transformational Change Institute (TCI) to expand access to these frameworks across Aotearoa and globally. Growth Development continues to act as the R&D and IP originator. The Transformational Change Institute acts as the delivery and implementation partner.

This partnership ensures the framework remains grounded in research while being accessible through high-quality certified training.

2024–2025: Validation Through National Rollout

In 2024 and 2025, the frameworks moved into nationwide delivery through TL101 (Transformational Leadership introduction) and SIMPLE.101 (Transformational Management introduction).

Thousands of leaders across New Zealand have now been introduced to the Unity Conditions™, the SIMPLE.™ laws, and the wider Transformation Framework.

This period has provided additional validation, refinement, and a stronger evidence base to support broader commercialisation and global expansion.

2026 and Beyond: Global Application Begins

With the foundational R&D complete and the national rollout underway, Growth Development and the Transformational Change Institute are now preparing for international implementation. This includes: Further sector-based R&D, continued evolution of certification pathways, scalable online learning, global partnerships, expansion into transformation leadership and management ecosystems

The SIMPLE.™ Transformation Framework is positioned as a globally relevant methodology originating in Aotearoa, grounded in research but simple enough to be applied across cultures, sectors, and organisational environments.

The SIMPLE. White Paper

Our foundational R&D white paper provides an overview of the five-year research programme, the development of the Framework, and the testing methodologies applied across Aotearoa.

Ongoing Research

Growth Development continues to refine and test elements of the framework. We have a current focus to explore longitudinal studies with organisations applying the Unity Conditions™ and SIMPLE.™ laws. We are invested to gather formal insights from leaders implementing the methodology in diverse environments and to collaborate with national and international partners on transformation-focused research.

Our commitment is to maintain the integrity of the framework, evolve it through evidence and support leaders with approaches that reflect the realities of complex transformation.

Our Mission

Changing the world through providing a SIMPLE. solution to unleashing the potential of people to be connected, inspired and committed to united growth.
